SMS One for Android

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 17, 2026

SMS One, package com.smsone.app, is provided by Envi One. SMS One is designed to keep ordinary messaging and organization data on your Android device. This policy explains what the app and this website handle, why they handle it, and the choices available to you.

Information the app accesses and stores

When you make SMS One your default messaging app, it accesses the SMS and MMS messages and conversation metadata held by Android's system messaging storage. It uses this access to display, search, send, receive, organize, and delete messages at your direction.

If you grant contacts access, SMS One reads contact names and phone numbers to identify conversations and help you address a new message. Contacts are used on the device and are not uploaded by SMS One.

SMS One stores app-created information on the device, including conversation preferences, blocked senders, starred messages, appearance settings, detected expenses, expense periods, reminders, scheduled messages, delivery history, and locally cached Trial, Free, or Pro entitlement state. Selected MMS images are handled through Android's system photo picker and messaging services.

How information is used

Information sent from the app

SMS One does not automatically upload your message history, contacts, detected expenses, reminders, or scheduled messages to Envi One.

If you submit Contact Support or Suggest a Feature, the app sends the message you type, your reply email, the request type, app version, and Android platform label over HTTPS to Envi One. The service validates the submission and delivers it as email to ysaleh@envi.one. The support service does not store or log the message body in its application logs. Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer, investigate, maintain service records, and meet legal or security obligations. You may request deletion of a support submission by emailing us from the reply address you used.

The separate Open Email App option gives the text to an email app you choose. That email provider's privacy practices then apply.

Carriers, Android, Google Play, and sharing

SMS and MMS messages are transmitted through your mobile carrier and Android's telephony services. Carrier processing is outside Envi One's control. Android also handles runtime permissions, notifications, alarms, the system photo picker, and files you explicitly share with another app.

Lifetime Pro is a one-time product provided through Google Play Billing. Google processes the purchase and supplies product, purchase, and ownership information needed to complete and restore access. SMS One does not receive your full payment-card details.

When you use Android's share controls, content is disclosed only to the destination you select. Its provider's privacy practices apply after sharing.

Website and service request data

When you visit this website or submit a support request, the hosting and security systems may process standard request information such as IP address, request time, requested path, browser or app user agent, and delivery status. This is used for operation, abuse prevention, rate limiting, troubleshooting, and security. The public SMS One pages do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

Sale, advertising, and disclosure

Envi One does not sell your personal information. SMS One does not use your SMS and MMS content, contacts, expenses, reminders, scheduled messages, reply email, or support text for advertising. Information may be disclosed to service providers described above, when you direct a share or message, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users and the service from fraud, abuse, or security threats.

Confirmed Free users may see one advertisement at the bottom of the Inbox. Trial and Pro users are not served advertisements. Before an ad request, SMS One uses Google's User Messaging Platform to update the applicable consent status and requests an ad only when that platform reports that ads may be requested. The advertising layer receives only a Free-eligibility decision; it does not receive your message content, contacts, expenses, reminders, schedules, support text, or email address.

Google states that the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information, and device and account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. The SDK encrypts this data in transit. Google's handling of this information is governed by Google's own privacy terms and your applicable advertising choices.

Retention and deletion

App-owned settings and records normally remain on your device until you delete them, clear app storage, or uninstall SMS One. Clearing or uninstalling the app removes its private app database and preferences, but SMS and MMS messages held by Android's system messaging provider may remain available to another default messaging app until you delete them.

Support emails and operational request records are kept only for the purposes described above and are deleted or anonymized when no longer reasonably needed. To request deletion of a support submission or ask a privacy question, email ysaleh@envi.one. Include enough information to identify your submission, but do not send passwords, one-time passcodes, or financial details.

Security

SMS One uses Android's app storage and permission controls. Direct support submissions use HTTPS, and the support service limits request size and rate. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Keep your device, screen lock, Android version, and SMS One installation up to date.

Your choices

You can decline optional contacts and notification permissions, change alarm access in Android settings, delete app-created records, delete messages, clear app storage, uninstall SMS One, or choose another default messaging app. Some features will not work without the permissions or default-app role they require.

Where Google requires an in-app entry point, open Settings → About → Privacy choices to review or change advertising privacy options in Google's form. The row appears only when the User Messaging Platform reports that it is required.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when SMS One, the website, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
